Kim Soo-Hyun To Sue YouTuber, Seek Rs 192 Crore For Spreading 'False Claims' - News18

YouTuber Kim Se-Ui has been accused of spreading false claims against actor Kim Soo-Hyun through YouTube broadcasts.

In a big development in Kim Soo-hyun’s dating scandal, a day after YouTuber Kim Se-Ui was arrested for allegedly spreading false claims against the actor, it has now been reported that the South Korean star is ready to take legal action. As reported by the Korean JoongAng Daily, Kim Soo-hyun’s legal team has confirmed to file a 30 billion won (approximately Rs 192 crore) civil suit against YouTuber Kim Se-eui for damages.

“Kim Se-ui spread false claims that Kim Soo-hyun carried out a long relationship with Kim Sae-ron beginning when she was a minor and that pressure from Kim Soo-hyun’s agency to repay a debt had driven her to death," Kim Soo-hyun’s legal representative said in an interview with the MBC News.

“This is an unprecedented case in which unverified suspicions were spread, and the narrative distorted to manipulate public perception, and even core materials such as KakaoTalk messages and audio were fabricated," the lawyer added. “It’s a collective, premeditated social crime that tried to destroy the honour and life of an innocent victim, an actor loved by people around the world, with fabricated evidence."

It must also be noted that Kim Soo-hyun’s team had previously filed a civil suit seeking 12 billion won in compensation. However, it has now been increased to 30 billion won.
