South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, has reiterated that it will take strict legal action against individuals spreading false information and defamatory content about the actor following a recent update in the case involving late actress Kim Sae Ron.
In a statement, the agency said authorities had concluded their investigation into allegations that Kim Soo Hyun dated Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor. The allegation that he violated South Korea’s Child Welfare Act was not substantiated, and therefore, the case was not referred for prosecution.
“It has been confirmed that the series of claims raised against Soo-hyun lack factual and objective grounds," the statement said and then added, “This matter is no longer at the stage of an unverified debate, but is a falsehood proven through official investigation results."
Gold Medalist further warned that reposting, sharing or redistributing the disputed allegations as established facts could invite further legal consequences and warned everyone of “severe punishment“.
