KPMG moved to fire the executive who raised serious concerns about the inappropriate use of confidential client files within a month of his initial disclosure and worked to discredit him for two years, he claims.
The former executive, whose identity has not been made public, told a parliamentary inquiry into the firm’s handling of the matter that his treatment by KPMG had made him regret blowing the whistle.
