KPMG Australia has enlisted the services of Corrs Chambers Westgarth for independent legal advice for former partners caught up in its whistleblower scandal.
The big four consulting firm’ preferred law firms Allens and Ashurst were used for internal investigations into the whistleblower matter. They are still advising current partners.
But Capital Brief has confirmed with multiple sources that Corrs has been engaged to support and counsel all former partners involved in the whistleblower matter and for preparations for the next parliamentary inquiry hearings on 14 August.
The firm’s litigation partner Anna Ross has been linked with a role advising the former partners. Corrs declined to comment on its appointment.
