The lawsuit alleges Helzberg's Diamond Shops violated the California Labor Code by failing to pay employees for all of their time worked.

The San Francisco labor law attorneys, at Zakay Law Group, APLC and JCL Law Firm, APC, filed a class action complaint against Helzberg's Diamond Shops, LLC ("Helzberg's Diamond Shops"), for allegedly failing to provide meal and rest breaks. The Helzberg's Diamond Shops, LLC class action lawsuit, Case No. 21CV003531, is currently pending in the Alameda County Superior Court of the State of California. According to the lawsuit, Helzberg's Diamond Shops allegedly violated California Labor Code Sections §§ 201, 202, 203, 204, 226, 226.7, 210, 510, 512, 558, 1194, 1197, 1197.1, and 1198 by failing to: (1) pay minimum wages; (2) pay overtime wages; (3) provide required meal and rest periods; (4) provide accurate itemized wage statements; (5) reimburse employees for required business expenses; (6) provide wages when due; and (7) reimburse employees for required business expenses.

As a result of their rigorous work schedules, Helzberg's Diamond Shops employees were allegedly unable to take off duty meal breaks and were not fully relieved of duty for meal periods....
