Lawmakers seek truth in UFO whistleblower claims with new ... - KATU

Interest in UFOs is seemingly growing by the day on Capitol Hill.

Members of the House Oversight Committee are promising a third congressional hearing later this month to investigate what the government calls "unidentified anomalous phenomena," or UAP.

Lawmakers are also busy crafting new legislation to get to the bottom of the UFO mystery.

On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-New York, tweeted:

"I’m introducing new legislation to declassify government records related to unidentified anomalous phenomena and UFOs as an amendment to the NDAA, modeled after the JFK Assassination Records Collection Act."

These developments come after a former intelligence officer came forward with allegations of a decades-long UFO coverup.

In an interview with "NewsNation" that aired in June, David Grusch delivered stunning allegations, when he told Australian journalist Ross Coulthart about a secret program hidden inside the U.S. government to recover and study crashed, or landed, UFOs.

"So you are absolutely sure that the materials these craft are made of are clearly not of this earth?" Coulthart asked Grusch.

"They are sophisticatedly engineered -- not by humans," Grusch replied.

It's an incredible claim.

However, Grusch is one of the most credible whistleblowers to ever come forward on the UAP issue.
