A man has filed a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend, a longtime Detroit police officer, claiming she fabricated stalking charges that landed him in jail before the case was dismissed.
In a 24-page, eight-count civil complaint filed last week in federal court, Kevin Wager said he and Detroit police Officer Shamar Woods-Carey were in an "active relationship" for about two and a half months. During that time, she allegedly filed at least five police reports indicating he was stalking her.
