If you have ever been a registered Rappahannock Democrat, you may have received a postcard recently featuring a smiling Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger, a 2017 anti-gerrymandering, out-of-context quote and what seems like a recommendation from her to vote “No” in Virginia’s April 21 redistricting referendum. A second postcard suggests that a “Yes” vote win would “diminish Black voting numbers in Democratic held seats.”
These are targeted, unmitigated falsehoods, purposefully promoted by

In fact, Spanberger and all Virginians, who are working for fair elections in November, are urging “Yes” votes on the redistricting referendum.
Because of recent gerrymandering in Texas and other red states, there will already be more Republican leaning congressional districts come November. This will likely result in more Republican congresspeople whose agenda is to cut taxes for millionaires and billionaires, cut programs for middle and lower-income Americans and allow more toxins in the air our children and the rest of us breathe.
