R.I.P., Eddie Bernice Johnson, from the people at the Voice of the People, KNON-FM (89.3) Community Radio in Dallas.
Johnson was a politician who was there for the common people. She called into KNON’s Church and Information Forum with the Rev. Marion Barnett once a month to talk and take questions from listeners. All live, on air and with no filters. We will miss hearing from her Saturday mornings at KNON-FM.

A friend of organ donation
Eddie Bernice Johnson was a huge proponent of organ donation. She lent her voice to the then Southwest Organ Bank, garnering awareness at a time it was sorely needed from the Black community. She was an influencer and educator par excellence. So down to earth and gracious, in every way.
