Local Professor Turned CIA Whistleblower to Give Full “Unsterilized” Account of Kennedy Assassination at Skanta Theatre Monday Night - clintoncountydailynews.com

FRANKFORT, Ind. — A Clinton County native who once held one of the most closely guarded security clearances in the federal government says he has evidence the CIA misled a congressional investigator decades ago about what records it held on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy — and he will lay out that evidence in a public presentation Monday night at the Skanta Theatre. Pearcy’s talk is part of the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce Speakers Series.

Dr. Thomas Pearcy, a history professor who grew up in Clinton County, appeared Tuesday on WILO’s “Party Line” program, hosted by Shan Sheridan, ahead of two local appearances this week built around his role in the decades-long push to declassify government files related to the 1963 assassination. The visit culminates Monday August 3rd at 6:00 PM with a presentation at the Frankfort Community Public Library’s Skanta Theatre that organizers say will be broadcast live and worldwide, and archived afterward on Hoosierland TV.

“On Monday night I’m going to speak about things that are going to make people uncomfortable, but we should know these things,” Pearcy said.

A Rare Government Post
Pearcy said he spent years as the government’s “joint historian,” a position created in the 1990s that operated simultaneously for the State Department and the CIA and could not be denied clearance by any other federal entity.
