Logan Paul issues apology in tweet for false claims about Olympic boxer Imane Khelif - MUNDO DEPORTIVO

Logan Paul recently found himself in hot water after spreading false information about Algerian boxer Imane Khelif. The mix-up started on Elon Musk’s platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), during the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In a dramatic match, Italian boxer Angela Carini dropped out after taking some serious hits from Khelif.

Afterward, rumors swirled online claiming Khelif was transgender and assigned male at birth. Logan Paul chimed in with a heated tweet, saying, “This is the purest form of evil unfolding right before our eyes.”

The truth about Imane Khelif

Khelif has always identified as a woman.

She was once disqualified by the International Boxing Association because of supposed XY chromosomes, but the International Olympic Committee (IOC) debunked that and allowed her to compete in Paris, just like she did in Tokyo 2020.

After getting called out for his post, Logan Paul admitted he was wrong. “OOPSIES,” he posted. “I might be guilty of spreading misinformation along with the entirety of this app.”
