Los Angeles Establishes $25 Minimum Wage for Health-Care Workers - Bloomberg Tax

Los Angeles is establishing a $25 hourly minimum wage for health-care workers under an ordinance (Council File 22-1100-S4) Mayor Eric Garcetti (D) signed July 8 that will go into effect 31 days after its publication.

Health-care workers are employees of covered health-care facilities and include clinicians, aides, technicians, janitors, nurses, nursing assistants, technicians, food service workers, maintenance workers, laundry workers, pharmacists, and clerical workers. Supervisors and managers are not covered by the ordinance.
