Lufthansa to Close Peterborough Call Centre in May 2026: Employee Rights - Samfiru Tumarkin LLP

What’s Happening?

Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa) is planning to shutter its call centre in Peterborough, Ont. next spring — affecting approximately 300 jobs.

The company confirmed in a statement to Global News that it plans to cease operations at the location on Fisher Driver by the end of May 2026.

“[Lufthansa InTouch] is committed to supporting the affected employees during this transition phase, including through fair severance payments, an employee assistance program, and professional support in finding new jobs,” the statement reads.
