Do you currently drive for Lyft in New York state?

You will begin to receive new job benefits.

Following its investigation, the Office of the New York State Attorney General (OAG) negotiated a settlement with Lyft that does the following:

  • It creates a $38 million settlement fund. You may be eligible for payments if you drove for Lyft between October 11, 2015, and July 31, 2017, and had deductions taken for New York sales tax and Black Car Fund fees. The claims will be handled by Rust Consulting.
  • It provides you with new benefits for sick leave, payment, training, and job support if you currently drive for Lyft. These benefits are expected to begin no later than February 29, 2024. You will be able to access these benefits through the Lyft driver app.
