PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is seeking a 51-year-old woman to assist in a false claims investigation.
In a statement today, MACC identified the woman as Wong Pooi Ling, a Malaysian, and said efforts to locate her at her last known address in Taman Muhibbah, Seri Kembangan, Selangor, had been unsuccessful.
The case is being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009, which covers offences involving the use of false, erroneous or defective particulars in receipts, accounts or other documents to deceive a principal.
Those convicted face up to 20 years in jail and a fine of at least five times the value of the false claim or RM10,000, whichever is higher.
"Members of the public with information on the person are requested to contact the investigating officer, Muhammad Mikael Abdullah, at 012-3316521, or the Selangor MACC office at 03-5525600," it said.
