A MARINE who claims to have seen a UFO in 2009 is reportedly living in fear and scared for his life over the ordeal.

Michael Herrera came forward last month saying that his unit saw a flying saucer being loaded with weapons while he was serving in Indonesia.

Herrera said that he was guarding an airdrop of aid supplies outside Padang at the time when his unit saw a hovering foreign object in use by clandestine US forces

"I could see something moving and rotating," he said, as reported by the Daily Mail.

"It was changing colors between a very light matte gray to a very dark matte black.

"It stuck out like a sore thumb."

Herrera said that his unit was threatened at gunpoint by unmarked US soldiers asking them to not speak of the sighting.

He further claimed that his camera was seized by some "men in black."

Herrera says he still feels threatened, and that black helicopters have been circling his home.

The mention of being stalked by black helicopters is reportedly a common theme among people who claim to have experienced alien encounters.

"I've had numerous encounters with f***ing helicopters hovering over my house," he said. "They were hovering over my dad's house too."

"They get so low, where they rattle the walls [and] scare the s**t out of the animals that we've got."
