KANSAS CITY - Mayor Quinton Lucas joined Kansas City’s Morning News today, where he said the claims of retaliation from a person described as a whistleblower are “much ado about nothing.”

Lucas says he simply responded to the claims made by a former campaign worker, who says there were financial transactions that were potentially unlawful. The spending on travel and entertainment for Mayor Lucas was from the non-profit Mayors Corps of Progress for a Greater Kansas City.

Lucas also talked about prepping for the coming winter storm with snow and dangerous cold, saying the city is working with shelters to provide a warm place to stay for those who are homeless.
