SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — South Salt Lake Mayor Cherie Wood responded for the first time to whistleblower allegations amid concerns over the hiring of the police chief, including "Girls' Night" activities and questions about qualifications.
These allegations involved activities such as "Girls' Night" drinking sessions, along with questions surrounding the qualifications and hiring process of the new police chief.
2News Chief Investigative Wendy Halloran, who led the investigation for six months, highlighted Mayor Wood's initial reluctance to address the allegations.
