Parents of missing British girl Madeleine McCann have broken their silence after DNA test results revealed Polish woman Julia Faustyna was not their missing child.
Julia Faustyna’s story went viral when she claimed, via her now-deleted Instagram account @iammadeleinemccann, that she was Madeleine, who vanished at age three while on a family holiday in Portugal.
However, it was revealed on Tuesday that Faustyna was not the missing child.

The McCann family have since released a statement in response to the news.
“There isn’t anything to report at this time,” a spokesman for Madeleine’s parents Kate and Gerry McCann said.
“If and when there is, it will come from the Metropolitan Police.”
Faustyna spent several weeks in the US with private investigator and spokesperson Fia Johansson, while she awaited DNA and family ancestry test results.
But Johansson told Radar Online the 21-year-old was “absolutely, 100 per cent from Poland”.
She confirmed the news via her Instagram page, writing the results did not “show any connection to British or even German roots”.
“Although it is impossible to tell for sure without the parent’s DNA results on either side, the test results speak to the origins of Julia’s root,” Johansson wrote.
“The test results show that she is 100 per cent of Polish heart.”
