McGraw Hill Sales Representative Must Arbitrate Job Bias Claims - Bloomberg Law

McGraw Hill LLC can force a former senior sales representative who was fired while on medical leave for anxiety to arbitrate her leave interference, disability bias, and retaliation claims, the Southern District of Ohio ruled.

The publishing and digital learning company has a program in place for handling employment-related disputes of the kind raised by Beverly Mester, the court said. McGraw Hill’s Fast and Impartial Resolution Policy has three steps, the last of which is mandatory arbitration, and specifically covers workplace discrimination and retaliation claims, the court said.
