Health Management Systems Inc. stopped a whistleblower’s False Claims Act suit alleging that the company engaged in conduct that deprived state Medicaid agencies of funds, a Texas federal district court said.
Whistleblower and former employee Christopher Frey didn’t demonstrate that Health Management improperly avoided an obligation to pay the government, Judge Jane J. Boyle of the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas said in a Monday opinion, granting the company summary judgment.
