Merari Sabati lands managing partner role at ARMA Law - Law.asia

Indonesian firm ARMA Law has appointed Merari Sabati as its new managing partner, effective 5 January 2026. The leadership change aligns with the firm’s strategic vision as it approaches its 10th anniversary in 2029.

Merari outlined three key areas that will be her main priorities from the outset.

“As I step into the role of managing partner, my strategic vision for ARMA Law is centred around three key priorities: client focus, sustainable growth and adaptability,” she told Asia Business Law Journal.

Looking ahead, Merari emphasised the importance of proactively addressing developments in artificial intelligence (AI), environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters, as well as regulatory compliance and corporate governance.

“By staying at the forefront of regulatory change, technological innovation – including AI – and ESG developments, we aim to position ARMA Law as a trusted adviser, ensuring our clients are well-prepared to navigate both legal risk and commercial opportunity in an increasingly complex and evolving landscape,” she added.

Specialising in general corporate law, foreign investment and employment matters, Merari has more than 15 years of experience. She has advised numerous multinational clients and played a pivotal role in shaping regulatory and compliance frameworks across sectors, including health and property management. Her work earned her a place on ABLJ’s A-List of Indonesia’s Top Lawyers for 2025.
