Meta to begin performance-based job cuts on Feb. 10 - Samfiru Tumarkin LLP

What’s going on at Meta?

An internal memo claims that Meta will begin its performance-based job cuts on Feb. 10.

“Anyone who is being terminated for low performance is not eligible to apply for an internal role change or reapply for a role at Meta during their non-working period between their notification date and final employment dates,” Janelle Gale, the tech giant’s vice president of human resources, said in the memo — obtained by Business Insider.

“After leaving Meta, anyone can apply for a role through the career page. As always, past performance will be considered while making a hiring decision.”

Gale stated that affected employees in Canada, the U.S., Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia, will be notified between Feb. 11-18.
