This wasn’t on the radar this year, but Pippen backtracking on his own previous comments just to give credit to Jordan was probably the best thing. The two undeniably had a great bond on the court. In The Last Dance series, it is even shown that the two used to play golf together which means an off-court bonding. But is it true?

Scottie Pippen, who recently sat for an interview on the Patrick Bet-David podcast, was asked about how many dinners and golfing sessions he had with only Jordan. To the host’s sheer surprise, Pippen revealed that he had never played golf with Jordan. And that left the host baffled as he claimed to have seen in The Last Dance that they played golf together.

An even more surprising detail was that the two never went for even as much as a friendly dinner, other than the usually formal ones like those held by organizations. “I mean we may have like a pregame meal or something like that but we would, it’s always a big party of people,” Pippen shared.

While this might be the case, that didn’t stop Pippen from bestowing him with a new honor. “I mean, I can’t knock him and say he was a bad teammate. I can’t knock him and say he wasn’t my favorite.
