Michigan Passes Bills Rolling Back Pandemic Employment Rules - Bloomberg Law

State rules regarding employer liability and when employees exposed to Covid-19 must be kept from the workplace would be repealed under a bill package that cleared the Michigan Legislature on Thursday.

The bills (H.B. 5244, H.B. 6128, and H.B. 6215) would roll back protections both for workers and employers starting in July, and eventually repeal provisions that represent a compromise between labor and business interests that lawmakers adopted in 2020 during the heart of the pandemic.
