Microsoft was slapped with an employment discrimination lawsuit on June 22 in California Superior Court for Los Angeles County. The lawsuit was filed by the Law Offices of Angel J. Horacek on behalf of a Black female senior product marketing manager who contends that she was wrongfully terminated for allegedly not relocating to Oregon from Los Angeles for work. According to the suit, the plaintiff, who worked as a remote employee, informed the human resources department of specific child care needs for her deaf daughter, which ultimately was not available in Oregon and limited her relocation plans. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 23STCV14548, Graham v. Microsoft Corp.
