Arlene Puentes, owner of October Home Inspections of Kingston, is celebrating her 20th year in business.
Puentes also recently completed a two-day 16-hour in-person course titled Electrical Inspections of Existing Dwellings. Puentes holds five International Code Council (ICC) certifications including the Residential Electrical Inspector and the Commercial Building Inspector certificates.
Puentes, a certified member of the American Society of Home Inspectors and a New York state-licensed home inspector, also holds a New York state Department of State code enforcement certification. She specializes in private residential and commercial building inspections in the Hudson Valley.

As a family physician, he sees patients of all ages, including children and adults. He is also board-certified in family medicine and certified in New York state in acupuncture.
Medicine is his second career. From 2007 to 2012, he was in the U.S. Army, and served in Baghdad as a platoon leader, in Germany as a battalion training officer, and in Afghanistan as a battalion operations officer. In 2009, he was awarded the Combat Action Badge and the Bronze Star Medal.
