Midterms live updates: Races remain unresolved in Oregon, Pa., NC - The Washington Post
Today, Pennsylvania’s bitterly fought Republican Senate race remains unresolved, with TV personality and heart surgeon Mehmet Oz, who has the backing of former president Donald Trump, and former hedge fund CEO and Army veteran David McCormick locked in a contest that could be headed to a recount. Kathy Barnette, a conservative media personality, was out of the running. On Wednesday, Trump publicly advised Oz to declare victory even as thousands of ballots remained uncounted.
After a day of balloting in five states, another notable contest also remained uncalled: Moderate incumbent Rep. Kurt Schrader (D) is facing a spirited challenge from his left from school board member Jamie McLeod-Skinner for the Democratic nomination in Oregon’s 5th Congressional District.

Sarah Palin, a onetime Republican candidate for vice president, endorsed former U.S. senator David Perdue in the Georgia Republican gubernatorial primary.
Perdue is Trump’s chosen candidate in the race, in which he’s facing off against four other candidates, including Gov. Brian Kemp, whom Trump is seeking to oust.
The primary will be held May 24. In a statement, Palin said Perdue is the Republicans’ best shot to beat Democrat Stacey Abrams — who is running unopposed in her primary — and defeat “the Democrats’ radical socialist agenda.” Palin will join Perdue at a...
