Minimum wage to rise to $14.20 in 2023 | NCPR News - North Country Public Radio

The Department of Labor says the minimum wage will rise one dollar on December 31st, from $13.20 per hour to $14.20. A state law from 2016 requires the state to raise the minimum wage towards $15 per hour statewide, based on labor conditions.

The DOL said Monday there's "evidence of pressure for wages to rise in the midst of a continued pandemic-driven labor shortage."

New York City, Long Island, and Westchester county already have a $15 per hour minimum wage.
