More than 80 people have reported suspected misuse of their health records after finding medical histories and medicine claims they said they never received through the Mor Prom application.
The victims, who have formed a Line group to collect information and evidence, said they were concerned about possible impacts on their health records, insurance claims and personal data.
Rapatsit Phatsirichaisin, deputy chairman of the Foundation Campaigning to Reclaim Social Justice, said the group had verified the identities of more than 80 affected people and was preparing to submit complaints on behalf of the victims on Monday.
One victim said she discovered the problem while checking her health records on the Mor Prom app after discussing Covid-19 vaccination history with friends.
She found records showing that she had visited a hospital in Pathum Thani and received folic acid supplements, 100 tablets per visit, on two occasions.
However, she said she had never received treatment at the hospital.
She contacted the hospital listed in the records but had not received a clear explanation about how the information appeared in her profile.
She expressed concern that the inaccurate records could affect her health insurance claims in the future.
"People who have done nothing wrong should not have to prove that they did not receive treatment or use medical services," the person said.
