ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Mission Health is working to clear up some confusion surrounding claims that have been made on social media about a cancer center.
Last week, viewer Jonel Schuster asked News 13 a question they saw floating around social media saying that the Mission cancer center was closing.

Schuster sent the following message to News 13:
There are numerous Facebook posts that say the mission cancer center is closing. According to the posts, patients are being transferred to other cancer centers. Is this accurate?
A spokesperson for Mission Health told News 13 in an email these claims are false and that there are "no plans to close the Mission Medical Oncology practice."
