Modenberry Korea has warned of a hard-line response to false claims surrounding group DIA-turned-singer An Somi.
Modenberry Korea announced on the 28th that it will take legal action against the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute, which claimed that An Som-yi (25) and CEO Kim Kwang-soo (63) dated.
Modenberry said, "The Garosero Research Institute conducted a broadcast aimed at spreading false information that An Somi artist and Kim Kwang-soo, CEO of Pocketdol Studio, were dating," adding, "This is a clear defamation, and we have decided to take legal action to protect the artist."
We will not stand by the spread of unfounded rumors and indiscriminate speculation about artists, he said. "We will already secure related data through legal representatives, and we will respond strongly under the principle of zero tolerance."
Earlier, the Horizontal and Vertical Research Institute posted a video titled "Shock Alone, One Man Competition Between Girl Group DIA Members," claiming that CEO Kim Kwang-soo and Ahn Som-yi dated.
Modenberry Korea said it signed an exclusive contract with Ansom the day before and is considering its next activities.
