More turmoil at MorseLife: Former executive sues West Palm center - The Palm Beach Post

The former chief counsel for Morselife Health Systems is suing the non-profit, claiming she was wrongly fired after questioning the handling of the December suspension of the center's embattled former president, Keith Myers.

Antoinette Esopakis filed the Palm Beach County Circuit Court lawsuit on April 7, citing the Florida Whistleblower Act.

In addition to serving as MorseLife's in-house lawyer since 2022, Esopakis worked as senior vice president of human resources at the West Palm Beach senior care facility.

Esopakis alleges in her complaint that she was the victim of "retaliatory actions" by MorseLife, which is governed by a board of directors.

Myers was ousted from his position by the board on Jan. 6, according to an email sent by MorseLife Board Chairman David Mack to donors and residents of the West Palm Beach senior facility. Myers had served as president and chief executive of MorseLife since 2007.

But before that action, Myers quietly was suspended from his job in December, Esopakis' lawsuit revealed.
