Motley Rice adds whistleblower safeguard - The Post and Courier

In the pursuit of shoring up the level of protection afforded to whistleblowers who reveal corporate misconduct, Motley Rice LLC recently hired former 24-year Department of Justice (DOJ) senior counsel and trial attorney Frank Amanat.

With 33 years of public and private experience in advocating for the rights of whistleblowers, workers, consumers, families and investors seeking justice for assorted wrongdoing and negligence, Amanat prioritizes informing his clients on what they’re up against.

“I have to manage their expectations, and it’s not easy being a whistleblower. But whistleblowers can face retaliation or blowback, especially if they’re still working for the organization that is the subject of their complaints,” he observed during a recent interview with the Moultrie News.

Another reality Amanat apprises his clients of is the lengthy amount of time required to litigate/resolve a fraud case.

The St. Louis-area native focuses on easing the path for individuals to come forward and divulge incriminating and/or illegal information. To that end, the newest Motley Rice addition will help protect the rights of private and government employees under the False Claims Act and the SEC Whistleblower Protection Act. Sometimes, however, a relator may deem it fit to enlist the services of an appropriate law enforcement agency, according to Amanat.
