A section of Mount Kenya leaders have come out guns blazing on Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party leader Raila Odinga over his planned rally at Kamukunji Grounds.

Kirinyaga county Governor Anne Waiguru argued that it was difficult to defeat President William Ruto because he is in government right now unlike in the past when he was harassed by Uhuru Kenyatta's government operatives.

“Let us not focus on destructions that have no course. If they did not defeat you when they intimidated you and harassed all the people around you, how will they defeat you now that you have moved closer to God and you have the government?” Waiguru posed.

The vocal politician asked Ruto who had attended an inter-denominational thanksgiving service in Kirinyaga to allow his henchmen to deal with the opposition.

“They should not scare you, do not even answer them, leave that to your footsoldiers I think they are looking for relevance,” she said.
