MUDA scam reaches CVC, whistleblower accuses top officials - United News of India
Bengaluru, Mar 13 (UNI) The Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) corruption probe has escalated as whistleblower Snehamayi Krishna has accused senior officials of fabricating a false report despite substantial evidence. The case has now reached the Commissioner of the Central Vigilance Committee (CVC), intensifying scrutiny on the integrity of key law enforcement officers.
Krishna has formally lodged a complaint against Additional Director General of Police Manish Kharbikar, Inspector General of Police Subrahmanyaeshwar Rao, and Mysore Lokayukta Superintendent of Police TJ Udayesh. According to Krishna, these officials deliberately misrepresented facts and manipulated documentation to suppress evidence of corruption within MUDA.
The whistleblower, on Thursday, also accused powerful political figures, including Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, of shielding those involved. Allegations suggest that political interference has obstructed a fair inquiry, raising questions about the credibility of anti-corruption mechanisms in the state.
Krishna called for a thorough investigation into the competence and ethical integrity of the accused officers, questioning their suitability for serving in the Indian Police Service (IPS). The allegations have sparked concerns about systemic corruption in Mysuru’s governance and underscored the need for a transparent and independent probe.
