‘My Pillow Guy’ Mike Lindell sticks to false claims: “You’re covering up the greatest crime this world has eve - Diario AS

Mike Lindell, famously known as the ‘My Pillow Guy,’ has long been one of President Donald Trump’s strongest supporters. However, his dedication and insistence on peddling claims that the 2020 election was stolen from the GOP leader have led him into legal trouble.

Eric Coomer, who formerly served as the product strategy and security director at Dominion Voting Systems, accused Mike Lindell of defamation due to remarks dating back to 2021. According to The Denver Post, Lindell began to refer to Coomer’s actions as “treasonous” in 2021. However, Lindell attempted to shift the focus away from claims that his comments stemmed from a belief that the election was stolen. Instead, he asserted that his attacks on Coomer began only after the former Dominion employee filed a lawsuit against him.

Lindell appeared in a Denver court on Monday, where he continued to stick to his story that he believed that Dominion played a role in the rigging of the election, claims that have been thoroughly disproven. When testifying, Lindell denied that when he made statements about Coomer, he knew they were false, and even doubled down, accusing the Dominion executive of forming “part of the biggest crime this world has ever seen.” This defense is unlikely to help the ‘My Pillow Guy,’ as making false statements, even if one believes they are true, does not constitute a free pass from a defamation case.
