The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has not received appeals from Oleksandr Kubrakov or Mustafa Nayem regarding protection as whistleblowers. At the same time, the NACP aims to broaden opportunities and strengthen legal guarantees for whistleblowers.
This was stated by the head of the NACP, Viktor Pavlushchyk, during a media comment, with no mention of any specific publications.
NACP’s position on whistleblower protection
“In connection with Oleksandr Klymenko’s comment at the meeting of the Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, I want to emphasize: neither Mr. Kubrakov nor Mr. Nayem approached the NACP for obtaining whistleblower status or for the protection of their rights under the procedure provided by law.”

The head of the agency noted that without a written appeal, the NACP cannot apply the procedures of state protection for whistleblowers.
