Actress Nana, formerly of After School, has taken a firm legal stance against what she describes as malicious false claims by the perpetrator in her robbery case, announcing a perjury complaint.
On January 23, Nana's side stated that the investigation had proceeded from the outset on clear evidence and consistent statements from both victim and suspect, leading to prosecution on charges of robbery causing bodily injury. The defendant, identified as a 34-year-old man, is currently standing trial on that charge.
However, during the first hearing held on January 20, the defendant denied possessing a weapon, claimed he did not choke Nana's mother, and alleged that Nana assaulted him unilaterally. Nana's representatives responded sharply, saying the defendant has shown no remorse, repeatedly changed his statements, and filed retaliatory accusations against the victim while continuing to spread false claims.
They added that the defendant has exploited Nana's public profile to distort facts and circulate unfounded allegations, constituting inhumane secondary victimization. In response, Nana's side confirmed they have filed a complaint for false accusation, stating they will not tolerate the behavior and will pursue all available legal measures.
The defendant previously filed complaints accusing Nana of aggravated assault and attempted murder, but police recently concluded the case with a decision of no charges, formally determining the claims to be baseless.
