NC said on April 7 it submitted a complaint to Seoul’s Gangnam Police Station against the operator of the YouTube channel Yeongraegi on allegations of spreading false information and obstruction of business.
YouTuber Yeongraegi claimed that Lineage Classic left illegal program users unchecked and sanctioned regular users who reported them. NC said data analysis and expert review confirmed the claim was false.
NC added that the spread of false information was causing damage to the company and users and affecting its operations, including by undermining trust in the illegal program reporting system.
Lineage Classic is running a user campaign to eradicate abnormal play and respond to illegal programs. In line with its operating policy, it has sanctioned 5,971,757 accounts across a total of 105 rounds. It is providing the results through notices.
