New Civil Service chief silent over whistleblower case - Belfast Telegraph

The new head of the Civil Service has declined to say whether it is acceptable for a Stormont department to attempt to overturn a judicial finding that a civil servant was driven from her job after she blew the whistle on potential fraud and animal suffering.

Last week the Belfast Telegraph revealed the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) was using taxpayers’ money to attempt to overturn a devastating judgment that raised serious concerns about Northern Ireland’s chief vet and one of his deputies.
