A NEW HR and employment law consultancy has launched in Chester.
Harrington Raine, founded by industry entrepreneur James Rowland, aims to help small and medium-sized businesses across England, Scotland and Wales make more confident decisions when handling workplace issues.
The company offers outsourced HR and employment law support and currently serves clients in England, Scotland, and Wales.
James Rowland, founder and managing director, said: "Over the past 14 years, I’ve spoken to thousands of business owners about their HR and Employment Law challenges.
"One frustration comes up time and again: they’re often told everything that could go wrong, but aren’t always given a clear recommendation on what they should actually do.
"Employers need to understand their legal obligations, but they also need advisers who understand the commercial realities of running a business and can help them make sensible, defensible decisions.
"That’s why I founded Harrington Raine."
Mr Rowland brings 14 years of experience to the business and previously co-founded Neathouse Partners, where he served as commercial director.
He is also a co-founder and director of Corporate Wellbeing Solutions, which provides occupational health and employee assistance programme services across the UK.
Harrington Raine’s approach, which it calls 'Outcome-First,' focuses on identifying the result an employer wants to achieve before assessing legal and commercial risks and recommending a practical way forward.
