A new HR and employment law consultancy has officially launched.
Harrington Raine, based in Chester and founded by industry entrepreneur James Rowland, aims to help small and medium-sized businesses make clearer, more confident decisions when navigating workplace challenges.
The consultancy provides outsourced HR and employment law support to employers across England, Scotland, and Wales.
James Rowland, founder and managing director of Harrington Raine, said: "Over the past 14 years, I’ve spoken to thousands of business owners about their HR and Employment Law challenges. One frustration comes up time and again: they’re often told everything that could go wrong, but aren’t always given a clear recommendation on what they should actually do.
"Employers need to understand their legal obligations, but they also need advisers who understand the commercial realities of running a business and can help them make sensible, defensible decisions. That’s why I founded Harrington Raine."
With 14 years of experience in the sector, Mr Rowland said the business was created in response to a common complaint from employers: advice that outlines legal risks but lacks actionable, practical guidance.
Harrington Raine’s approach, called 'Outcome-First,' starts by identifying the result an employer wants to achieve before assessing legal and commercial risks and providing a practical recommendation.
