A former child actor isn’t just suing Sean “Diddy” Combs. He’s also going after the agents who were supposed to be looking out for him, claiming they left him alone with adult industry figures at a Hollywood Hills networking event in May 2007.
The lawsuit, filed this week in California, accuses Combs of sexually assaulting the plaintiff at that event. The man is unidentified, and the filing doesn’t give his exact age at the time, only that he was under 18.
According to the complaint, Combs steered him into a backroom “to speak to him privately about some potential opportunities,” including an upcoming project Combs was producing.
The plaintiff says Combs offered him a drink, and that after he began to “feel the effects of the beverage,” Combs started touching him even though he said he was uncomfortable.
The filing goes on to describe Combs pulling down the plaintiff’s clothes and sexually assaulting him while touching himself.
“This assault was so extreme as to go beyond the bound of decency and be regarded intolerable by civilized society,” the lawsuit states, adding that the conduct was “intended to terrorize and cause him emotional distress.”
The claims against the agents are their own thread. The plaintiff says they failed to arrange a chaperone, didn’t confirm his guardians would be there, and never ensured he “would not be left alone with adult industry figures in private rooms or secluded areas.
