Geneviéve Jones-Wright’s nonprofit MoGo, the Community Advocates for Just and Moral Governance, has launched a new portal on its website where community members can submit whistleblower complaints and public records requests.
This portal, which focuses on San Diego County government, was introduced in connection with National Whistleblower Day.
“By offering the option for anonymity, we empower individuals to speak up without fear of retaliation, fostering greater transparency and accountability in our government and communities,” said Jones-Wright, executive director of the nonprofit and a former candidate for District Attorney and Mayor.
Sebastian Martinez, MoGo’s deputy executive director, said the new community resource comes amid what he described as an uptick in reported corruption among elected officials in San Diego County.
“Folks in San Diego County need to know there is space for them and an avenue to speak out and seek justice and information safely. MoGo can be that space, and the time is most certainly now,” said Martinez.
