New Wikipedia page highlights Trump's false claims as 2024 election approaches - Beaumont Enterprise
Election year is in full swing across the country, and this year’s 2024 election has had no shortage of twists and turns as Nov. 5 election day draws near.
While social media and the Internet have changed the political landscape in the modern age, a recent Wikipedia page titled “false or misleading statements by Donald Trump” is starting to gain attention in the last leg of the 2024 election race.
“The Wikipedia site and 6 million-plus English-language articles — or queries on the AI assistant readily available on anyone’s phone — answer many pondered questions while online,” NPR stated in an August report, “Why All Roads Of Inquiry Lead To Wikipedia,” before the “false or misleading statements by Donald Trump, was created.
With a list of credible sources, the Wikipedia page states no other president has lied as blatantly to the American people as Trump and his administration. With a detailed summary of his early business career and dealings, the page outlines the depth of pathological lying that has gone on for years.
“Commentators and fact-checkers have described the scale of Trump’s mendacity as ‘unprecedented’ in American politics, and the consistency of falsehoods a distinctive part of his business and political identities," a portion of the Wikipedia page reads. "Scholarly analysis of Trump’s tweets found ‘significant evidence’ of an intent to deceive."
