Rap star Nicki Minaj made an appearance at the US mission to the United Nations to echo President Donald Trump’s false claim that Christians are being systematically killed in Nigeria.
Minaj appeared alongside US Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz at the event, which had the goal of amplifying Trump’s warning that there will be “hell to pay” if Nigeria doesn’t act to prevent the deaths of of Christians. Nigerian officials including President Bola Tinubu — a Muslim whose wife is a Christian pastor — have rejected the claim of religious intolerance.
