Nigel Farage accused of false claims on sex attacks at Reform rally in Falkirk - Daily Record

Cops said the Reform chief's claims of 'three serious sexual assaults in Falkirk in the last week' - used to criticise asylum seekers - were inaccurate.

Police Scotland has accused Nigel Farage of making false claims about sex attacks in Falkirk as he blasted asylum seekers at a rally in Scotland.

The force last night described the Reform UK leader’s account that there had been “three serious sexual assaults” in the town in the last week as inaccurate

It came as Farage unveiled millionaire Tory peer and donor Lord Malcolm Offord as his latest Reform candidate, praising his defection as “brave and historic”.

Falkirk - which has become a hotbed of anti-immigration protests in recent months over its asylum hotel - was the site of a major Reform rally yesterday with an estimated 750 people attending.

And Farage used his address to slam illegal immigration, repeating his controversial claims that one in three schoolchildren in Glasgow do not speak English as their first language and warning the city could become “unrecognisable”.

He added: “Here in Falkirk, there have been three serious sexual assaults in the space of the last week.

“I’m sorry but this is a country allowing young men to come from countries in which women aren’t even classed as second class citizens, then you put them up in four star hotels and allow them to work illegally.

“Their attitude towards women is completely different to ours, so the social effects of this are appalling as well.”
