Nissan’s Carlos Ghosn whistleblower Hari Nada hangs his cape, retires 7 years after 2018 incident - Firstpost

Carlos Ghosn has had an extensive past with Nissan, from being credited as the saviour of the Japanese brand through its financial doldrums to an epic fall and arrest in 2018, Carlos Ghosn has been through it all. His arrest came after Hari Nada, a member of the top brass at Nissan, revealed his clandestine motives to misuse his position in the company. In a recent update, Hari has now decided to step down from his position at Nissan.

After continuing his run for 7 years after leading a full-scale revelation about Ghosn, Hari nada has finally decided to hang up his cape at the age of 61. He will step down from April 1 as corporate executive for special projects, in addition to a series of new changes that will be taking place at Nissan from March 17.

Nada was closely associated with Ghosn’s arrest at Tokyo’s Haneda airport. Ghosn’s arrest at that time turned into a 140-day run within the lockup in Tokyo. His arrest led to a break in the long-standing alliance between Renault and Nissan, and further weakened Nissan’s position in the Automotive market leaving it struggling.

Suspicions, and Renault’s increasing stake in Nissan

Before Nissan Ghosn had already had a past with Renault, he was regarded as the rescuer who helped Renault through its rough patch in the late 1990’s. But even after his past at Renault, he was considered an outsider at Nissan.
