The Federal Trade Commission recently proposed a rule that would ban employee noncompete agreements, and now the general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board is scrutinizing employers’ use of noncompetes.The proposed FTC rule would prohibit noncompetes in the workplace and require employers to rescind noncompete agreements currently in place.
